Aluminium is corrosion resistant and very lightweight. The material can be left outside all year round, without being damaged or frozen.

Our aluminium undergoes a number of processes for long-lasting quality. For example, the material is roughened for better adhesion of the powder coating. This powder coating is available in different colours and styles. It is applied with a strong adhesion primer. Finally, the aluminium is processed with a protective hard top layer. This improves the scratch-resistance of our products.

MATERIAL

AW 5754 H111

At FURNS, we use the highest qualification for aluminium. AW 5754 H111 means that the aluminium is made of a specific aluminium alloy (AW 5754). By applying 3% magnesium in this alloy, the material acquires high mechanical properties. It is a highly weldable, highly corrosion-resistant alloy that is also used, for example, in maritime (seawater) applications. H111 indicates the heat treatment condition of the material. The aluminium is very suitable for cold forming, such as rolling or pressing, without the risk of cracking. The production techniques in our factories are equipped for this.

MATERIAL THICKNESS

3 to 10 mm

To achieve structural strength and resistance to mechanical pressure, we use at least 3mm thick aluminium. Depending on the application, we use heavier grades up to 10mm thick.

DURABILITY

The use of aluminium in garden products offers a perfect balance of durability and versatility. Aluminium is corrosion-resistant and lightweight, but above all very recyclable. Unlike many other materials, aluminium retains its properties during the recycling process. This means that it can be recycled endlessly without losing quality. An aluminium product lasts very long, so the user can enjoy high-quality beautiful garden items for a long time.

WARRANTY PERIOD

5 years

We set strict requirements for the purchased materials, which we then process ourselves in our modern factories. As a result, we give a 5-year, linearly descending warranty on all aluminium products. This emphasises confidence in the durability and quality of our products.

MAINTENANCE

Twice a year

To keep our products beautiful for a long time, it is important that you maintain them properly. Treat our product immediately after receipt and then at least twice a year with our BIO Cleaner & Protector.

The cleaner ensures that your product is clean, after which you can treat the product with the protector. This gives the product a new, protective wax layer. Our cleaner is 100% biodegradable, so no harmful cleaning agents or chemicals need to be used. Do not use a high-pressure cleaner and/or scouring sponge for cleaning. This will affect the coating. With a little attention and the right materials, your product will look like new again.

QUALICOAT CLASS 2 - IGP - HWF CLASSIC 59 SERIES

Super durable powder coatings with improved scratch resistance and an attractive finish for energy-efficient curing. High weather resistance and extreme robustness make these powder coatings the ideal choice for our products. The extreme robustness prevents damage to our products during transport and installation and makes it easy to clean. The durable coating meets the requirements for the so-called Green Building Label sustainability concept.

QUALICOAT CLASS 1 - AKZO - D1036 INTERPON

The metallic powder coating is intended for use on architectural aluminium. It gives very good outdoor durability and colour retention and meets the requirements of GSB standard, Qualicoat Class 1, according to European NEN standards EN12206 and EN13438, as well as architects' standard AAMA 2603-13. The coating is lead-free and is applied in a layer thickness between 60 and 80 micrometres.
